Phone alerts may curb suicidal urges in real time

Summary
This study tested whether learning three skills to manage negative emotions and getting smartphone reminders to practice them can reduce how often and how intensely people feel emotional distress and suicidal thoughts. 41 adults with recent suicidal thoughts or a suicide attempt took part. Results will show if this approach helps lower suicidal urges in the moment.
