First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at whether getting real-time feedback from a virtual trainer avatar during virtual reality exercise improves how people feel and how accurately they move. Twenty-eight healthy adults aged 18 to 50 did three short VR exercise sessions: one with no feedback, one with only verbal feedback, and one with both verbal and gesture feedback. The goal was to see which type of feedback works best for well-being and movement accuracy.
