First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests a noninvasive device called REAC that uses gentle electrical signals to help rebalance brain activity in people with diffuse axonal injury, a type of severe traumatic brain injury. About 60 participants will receive either real or sham REAC sessions after leaving the ICU. Researchers will measure changes in brain waves and daily functioning to see if the treatment aids recovery.
