Can a berry a day keep the doctor away? scientists test raspberries for gut health

NCT ID NCT03620617

Summary

This study aims to understand if eating frozen raspberries daily can improve the gut bacteria and metabolic health of overweight or obese adults. Researchers will compare a group eating raspberries to a group following their usual diet, measuring changes in blood sugar, cholesterol, gut bacteria, and inflammation. The goal is to learn how raspberries might work in the body, not to provide a direct treatment.
