Scientists launch global hunt for clues to mysterious nerve disorders

NCT ID NCT01623076

Summary

This study aims to understand the biological causes of rare, inflammatory nerve disorders like Neuromyelitis Optica and Transverse Myelitis. Researchers will follow 150 patients over time, collecting health data, questionnaires, and blood samples. The goal is to learn why treatments work for some patients but not others, and to find biological signals that happen before symptom flare-ups, hoping to discover better ways to diagnose and treat these conditions.
