Summary

This study tested a new rapid blood test for sepsis, a life-threatening infection. It involved 110 adult patients in intensive care units. The goal was to see if this new test could accurately identify the specific bacteria causing the infection in just a few hours, compared to the standard method which can take 2-3 days.
