New hope for kids with tough cancer: testing drug combo for relapsed tumors

NCT ID NCT04145349

Summary

This study is testing whether adding the drug ramucirumab to standard chemotherapy can help control a rare and aggressive cancer called desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) in children and young adults whose cancer has returned or stopped responding to previous treatments. The trial aims to see if this combination is safe and can slow or stop tumor growth. Participation could last 12 months or longer depending on how the cancer responds.
