First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study compares a new type of radiotherapy (dose painting) to standard radiotherapy for head and neck cancer. The goal is to see if the new approach causes fewer severe mouth ulcers one year after treatment. About 100 adults with certain head and neck cancers will take part, and all will receive a special PET scan before treatment to guide the radiation.
