Zapping the spot: can a quick radiation blast after brain surgery stop Cancer's return?

NCT ID NCT00950001

Summary

This study is testing if a single, highly focused dose of radiation to the area where a brain tumor was removed works better than just watching and waiting. It aims to see if this targeted treatment can prevent the cancer from growing back in the same spot for at least six months. The trial involves 132 patients who have had surgery for a limited number of brain metastases.
