First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether radiofrequency therapy, pelvic floor exercises, or both can improve pelvic floor symptoms like pain and dryness in breast cancer survivors. 117 women with stage 1 or 2 breast cancer who have pelvic floor dysfunction will be randomly assigned to one of three groups. The goal is to find a less invasive way to improve quality of life after cancer treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ€” not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
radiofrequency therapy and pelvic floor muscle exercise
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-invasive, drug-free way to relieve pelvic floor symptoms like vaginal dryness and pain in breast cancer survivors.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial (117 participants) and results may not apply to all patients. The treatments are for symptom relief, not a cure, and some women may see no benefit.
