Shorter radiation course tested for rare cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT05109494

Summary

This study is testing whether a shorter, more intense course of radiation before surgery works as well as the standard longer course for treating soft tissue sarcomas. Researchers will compare 5 treatments over 1-2 weeks versus 25 treatments over 5 weeks in 30 patients. The goal is to see if the shorter approach controls the tumor effectively while reducing side effects and treatment time.
