Scientists test drug to boost Radiation's power against sarcoma

NCT ID NCT05938374

Summary

This study tested whether adding a drug called Fluzoparib to a specific type of radiation treatment before surgery could help people with soft tissue sarcoma in their arms, legs, or torso. The goal was to see if this combination was safe, effective at controlling the cancer, and led to fewer complications and better quality of life after treatment. Researchers enrolled 52 patients to compare the outcomes of radiation alone versus radiation plus the drug.
