Smart radiation: targeting cancer spots, sparing healthy tissue

NCT ID NCT05328505

First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to give radiation to men whose prostate cancer has returned after surgery. Using a special scan (PSMA PET) to find exactly where the cancer is, doctors will give higher radiation doses to those spots and lower doses to healthy areas. The goal is to better control the cancer while reducing side effects. About 80 men will take part and be followed for up to 5 years.
