First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study compares using the wrist (radial artery) versus the groin (femoral artery) for a second access point during a minimally invasive heart valve replacement (TAVI). The goal is to see which approach causes fewer bleeding or blood vessel problems. About 434 people scheduled for TAVI will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods.
