New gel could ease Kids' tonsil surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07188779

Summary

This study is testing if applying a gel called RADA16 during tonsil removal surgery helps children recover better. Researchers want to see if the gel reduces pain, bleeding, and the need for strong painkillers after the operation. About 134 children aged 3-17 will be randomly assigned to receive the gel or standard care, and their recovery will be tracked with surveys for 30 days.
