Researchers probe why RA patients struggle to swallow

NCT ID NCT07401732

Summary

This study aims to understand what causes swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and how severe these problems are. Researchers will examine 137 adult RA patients using a small, flexible camera to look at the throat and swallowing process. The goal is to identify factors linked to worse swallowing problems and see if this camera exam can reliably diagnose RA-related causes.
