Scientists hunt for early warning sign of deadly lung complication

NCT ID NCT07173582

Summary

This study aims to find a simple blood test to screen for a serious lung complication in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Researchers will measure levels of two specific proteins (MMP7 and MMP9) in 81 participants, including RA patients with and without lung disease, and healthy people. They want to see if these protein levels can act as an early warning sign and are linked to how active the RA is.
