Texting for health: can mobile messages help young adults kick the habit?

NCT ID NCT05958667

Summary

This study is testing a bilingual text and chat program called Quitxt, designed to help young Latino adults in Texas quit smoking. Researchers will enroll 1,200 smokers aged 18-29 and randomly assign half to use the Quitxt program and half to receive standard text messages with quit-smoking resources. The goal is to see if the culturally tailored Quitxt program leads to more people successfully quitting smoking.
