NCT ID NCT04712136

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how inherited heart rhythm problems (like Long QT Syndrome) and heart muscle diseases (like Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) affect the quality of life and physical activity of children aged 6 to 18. Researchers will compare 107 children with these conditions to 107 healthy children of the same age and gender. Participants wear a fitness tracker for two weeks and complete questionnaires to measure their well-being and activity levels.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help doctors better understand how these heart conditions affect daily life and activity in children, leading to improved support and care.

What could go wrong
