New nerve block aims to ease pain after hernia surgery
NCT ID NCT06862609
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a special nerve block called the Quadro-Iliac plane block can help people recover better after laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery. About 70 adults having this surgery will either get the nerve block or a placebo, and their recovery quality will be measured 24 hours later. The goal is to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers, which can have unpleasant side effects.
