Summary

This study tested a new quadrivalent (four-strain) flu vaccine made by Instituto Butantan in over 1,300 healthy infants and children aged 6 to 35 months. The goal was to see if the vaccine triggers a strong immune response and is safe compared to existing flu vaccines. Results will help determine if this vaccine can better protect young children against influenza.
