New nerve block aims to ease hip surgery pain

Summary

This study tests whether a special nerve block (QL block) can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after hip replacement surgery. About 80 adults having planned hip replacement will take part. Researchers will measure pain levels and how quickly patients can stand up after surgery.
