Summary
This study tests whether a special nerve block called Quadro-Iliac Plane (QIP) block can reduce pain and the need for opioids after hip replacement surgery. 100 adults scheduled for hip replacement will be randomly assigned to receive either the QIP block with numbing medicine or a sham block with salt water. The main goal is to see how much morphine they need in the first 24 hours after surgery.
