Ancient exercise tested as new hope for hospitalized depression patients

NCT ID NCT07294443

Summary

This study tested whether practicing Qigong, a gentle mind-body exercise, could help reduce anxiety and depression in people hospitalized for depression. Researchers compared 70 patients who did Qigong exercises to those who did not. The goal was to see if this non-drug approach could ease symptoms during inpatient treatment.
