First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This Phase 2 trial tests a new drug called purinostat mesylate in 50 people with relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma or cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. The drug is given by IV four times per 21-day cycle for up to 96 weeks. The main goal is to see if it can shrink tumors (objective remission rate), while also checking safety and how the drug moves through the body.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
purinostat mesylate
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with hard-to-treat T-cell lymphomas, potentially shrinking tumors and controlling the disease.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 50 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may cause side effects or fail to work in many patients.
