New gel aims to stop bleeding, send prostate patients home same day
NCT ID NCT06948331
Summary
This study is testing if applying a special gel called PuraStat after a water-based prostate surgery (Aquablation) can reduce post-operative bleeding. The main goal is to see if this reduction in bleeding allows more patients to be safely discharged to go home on the same day as their procedure. The study will involve about 25 men who are already scheduled for this specific surgery to treat an enlarged prostate.
