Surgical gel trial aims to ease painful recovery from mouth operations
NCT ID NCT05773781
Summary
This trial tested whether applying a special gel called PuraBond during surgery to remove mouth or throat lesions helps patients recover with less pain. 73 patients were randomly assigned to have the gel applied or not during their operation. The main goal was to see if using the gel significantly reduced pain in the 30 days after surgery, and to check other recovery outcomes like bleeding.
