New gel aims to stop surgical bleeding in minutes
NCT ID NCT07284953
Summary
This study aimed to test a new gel called PuraBond, designed to quickly stop bleeding and help tissue heal after surgeons remove part of a kidney to treat cancer. The gel would have been tested in patients undergoing robotic surgery where standard methods to stop bleeding were not enough. The goal was to see if the gel was safe and effective, but the study was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled.
