Doctors map the eyes of 1,000 critically ill patients

NCT ID NCT02804438

Summary

This study aims to collect data on pupil size and reactions in 1,000 patients in intensive care units. Researchers are using a special device called a pupillometer to take these measurements. The goal is to establish what 'normal' pupil readings look like in very sick patients, which will help doctors better understand brain function in future studies.
