First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested whether delivering parathyroid hormone (PTH 1-34) through a small pump, similar to an insulin pump, works better than standard twice-daily injections for people with chronic hypoparathyroidism. The goal was to keep blood and urine calcium levels stable throughout the day. The study included 21 adults and children with different forms of the condition. Results may help improve daily management and reduce symptoms.
