First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study aims to check how accurately common pulse oximeters measure blood oxygen levels in healthy people. Researchers will temporarily lower participants' oxygen levels in a controlled setting and compare the device readings to precise blood tests. The study will include 10,000 healthy adults to see if skin color or other factors affect the readings.
