Lung cancer patients breathe easier with simple rehab program
NCT ID NCT07532057
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested an 8-week supervised program of breathing exercises and light strength training for 30 people with advanced lung cancer (stage IIIB/IV) who were also getting chemotherapy. Those in the rehab group could walk farther, breathe better, and reported less coughing and pain compared to those who only did simple home exercises. The program did not aim to cure the cancer, but helped patients feel stronger and have a better quality of life during treatment.
