First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study collects lung tissue from patients undergoing lung transplant to investigate what causes pulmonary fibrosis at the cellular level. Researchers will examine cells and proteins from the donated lungs. The goal is to better understand the disease, not to test a new treatment. About 90 people waiting for a lung transplant will take part.
