Summary
This study tested different public messages to encourage veterans who recently left the military and are thinking about suicide to seek mental health care. Researchers enrolled 355 veterans who had suicidal thoughts but were not currently in treatment. They measured whether the messages helped veterans start therapy or change their beliefs about getting help.
