Military PTSD breakthrough? injection plus therapy tested

NCT ID NCT05889741

Summary

This study is testing if adding a specific neck injection, called a stellate ganglion block, to an intensive two-week therapy program works better for reducing PTSD symptoms than the therapy program alone. It will involve 140 active duty or retired military service members diagnosed with PTSD. Half will get the real injection, and half will get a sham (fake) injection, to see which combination leads to greater improvement.
