New therapy aims to heal trauma and support recovery in High-Risk group

NCT ID NCT06872164

Summary

This study is testing whether a specially adapted form of talk therapy, delivered by video call, can help treat PTSD in adults who are receiving medication for opioid addiction at syringe service programs. The main goal is to see if offering this therapy onsite is practical and acceptable, and if it can reduce PTSD symptoms and help people stay on their recovery medication. Participants will attend therapy sessions and work with program coaches, while researchers track their symptoms and progress.
