New hope for veterans with Hard-to-Treat PTSD
NCT ID NCT04515784
Summary
This study tested a new 10-week group therapy for veterans with PTSD who did not want to try standard trauma-focused treatments. The therapy, called START, aimed to help participants reduce unhelpful 'safety behaviors' they use to cope with anxiety. Researchers measured if the approach was practical and if it led to reductions in PTSD symptoms, anxiety, and depression.
