Nerve shot tested to calm PTSD brain

NCT ID NCT05391971

Summary

This study is testing if a single injection near nerves in the neck, called a stellate ganglion block, can reduce the symptoms of PTSD. 80 adults with PTSD will be randomly assigned to receive either the real injection or a placebo saline shot. Researchers will use brain scans and symptom surveys to see if the treatment calms the brain's fear response and improves how people feel.
