PTSD memory rewrite study for teens pulled before it began

NCT ID NCT04921982

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 38 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if propranolol, a blood pressure medicine, could reduce PTSD symptoms in teenagers by interfering with the way traumatic memories are re-stored in the brain. It planned to enroll 12- to 18-year-olds with PTSD for at least three months. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
