This study looked at how fear and reward systems in the brain affect recovery from PTSD and alcohol use after sexual assault. Researchers studied 82 women who had experienced sexual assault and had both PTSD and heavy drinking. The goal was to learn more about these conditions to help create better treatments in the future.
