New approach tests best way to help women heal after sexual assault
NCT ID NCT04124380
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to help women recover from PTSD and problematic alcohol use after experiencing sexual assault. Researchers are testing different telehealth counseling approaches to see whether it's better to address PTSD symptoms first, alcohol use first, or both together. The goal is to develop more effective early interventions that can prevent these conditions from becoming long-term problems.
