Summary
This study tested whether a psychological support program could improve the well-being of people caring for loved ones undergoing a stem cell transplant for cancer. One hundred caregivers were randomly assigned to receive either the support program or usual care. The program involved six sessions with a therapist over three months to help caregivers develop coping skills and manage stress.
