First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at how psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, changes brain activity and body responses in healthy people. Twelve volunteers with past psychedelic experience will take four doses of psilocybin and undergo MRI and EEG scans. The goal is to better understand the different mental states that psychedelics can produce, which may help guide future treatments for mental health conditions.
