Scientists probe psoriasis pain link
NCT ID NCT02652065
Summary
This small study aimed to understand the connection between nerve sensitivity, skin blood flow, and the pain many people with psoriasis experience. Researchers measured how blood vessels in the skin of 20 patients with psoriasis reacted to certain substances, comparing a psoriasis patch to healthy skin. They also tested skin sensitivity to touch and temperature to see if nerve changes are linked to the skin inflammation.
