New scan could pave way for targeted radiation attack on tough brain tumors
NCT ID NCT07428213
Summary
This study aims to see if a special PET scan can detect a protein called PSMA in recurrent meningiomas, which are brain tumors that have come back after standard treatments. Researchers will scan 40 adult patients whose tumors have returned after surgery or radiation. If enough tumors show the PSMA protein, it could justify a future trial using a targeted radiation therapy that attaches to PSMA to destroy tumor cells.
