New Scan-Guided radiation aims to zap prostate cancer with fewer side effects
NCT ID NCT07234981
Summary
This study is testing if using a special scan (PSMA-PET) to guide a lower dose of radiation can reduce side effects while still controlling prostate cancer that comes back after surgery. It will involve about 54 men whose prostate cancer has returned, as shown by a rising PSA blood test. All participants will receive the guided radiation and will also take standard hormone-blocking drugs for 6-24 months to help control the cancer.
