Magic mushroom therapy tested for trauma in women

Summary
This study is testing whether a single dose of psilocybin, taken in a controlled setting with therapy, can help reduce PTSD symptoms in women who have experienced sexual assault. It will involve 35 participants and closely monitor safety, changes in PTSD severity, anxiety, depression, and daily functioning. The goal is to see if this approach offers a new way to manage the lasting effects of trauma.
