Magic mushroom therapy tested for trauma relief
NCT ID NCT07104916
Summary
This study aims to understand how a single dose of psilocybin (the active compound in 'magic mushrooms'), given with different types of therapy, might help people with PTSD. It will enroll 30 adults with moderate to severe PTSD to see how their brain activity and symptoms change. Researchers will compare psilocybin given with standard support versus psilocybin given with a specific mindfulness-based therapy.
