Magic mushroom therapy tested for Veterans' PTSD

NCT ID NCT07332143

Summary

This study is testing whether psilocybin, the active compound in 'magic mushrooms,' can be safely combined with therapy to help reduce PTSD symptoms. It will involve 150 Georgia military veterans, reservists, or active-duty members with PTSD. Researchers will compare two different therapy approaches paired with psilocybin to see which is more effective and acceptable to participants.
