NCT ID NCT05585229
Summary
This small, early-stage study is testing whether therapy sessions guided by the psychedelic compound psilocybin can help people with chronic pain safely reduce or stop their opioid pain medication. The study will involve 10 adults who have previously struggled to taper off opioids. Researchers will monitor safety and see if participants can successfully lower their opioid doses over 8 months.
